…Barb is a board-certified Physician Assistant who is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan. She has her Master’s degree in Family and Consumer Science with a major in Family Life Education. She was an assistant professor at Western Michigan University for 7 years teaching Physician Assistant students in the College of Health and Human Services and was a practicing Physician Assistant in Family Practice since 1991.

Bruce Born, Treasurer of the Board of Directors |
…Bruce is the Vice President of Finance for Superior Manufacturing Group – located in Walker. He is a CPA and brings financial expertise from his work in both public accounting and for privately held companies. Bruce also has experience serving on non-profit boards and has served as a deacon at his church. He enjoys spending time with his family and he looks forward using his God-given talents to assist Oasis of Hope Center.

| …Dan was a Project Manager for Holland American Wafer Company; his past duties included budgeting, cost containment and creating reality from idea. Dan’s knowledge of detail and his knowledge of grant writing is a definite benefit to Oasis of Hope Center. Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a major in communication and is part of the worship team and a member of Eagle’s Nest Church. |

Nancy Schoofs , Secretary of the Board of Directors |
...Nancy is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Grand Valley State University. She has 34 years' experience as a registered nurse and 22 years as a nursing faculty member. She has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in the science of nursing and a PhD in Higher Education Administration. She is very interested in education of both patients and staff and hopes to use her expertise as an educator to help the people who come to the Oasis of Hope Center. More importantly, she wants to serve God using her gifts and education. She believes that God is calling her to follow Micah 6:8: "And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God."

…Sharon is the Assistant Branch Manager of Credit Union One and also served as the Secretary of West Leonard Business Association (of which Oasis of Hope Center is a member). Sharon’s insight into the neighborhood, her financial savvy and her connections with the local business people is invaluable to our Center. She is dedicated to helping Oasis of Hope Center with a keen awareness and a heart for the under-served people in our community. She is the liaison to the Fundraising Committee.
